29 Oct 1903 - Another wet day. Hilda ABLITT, monitress, was so wet on arriving at school, she had to go home again and was absent all day.

17 Dec 1903 - Prize Distribution:

11 Jan 1904 - Andrew ANGEL, Bruce
& Alfred WESTCOMBE and Ernest JUPE, were sent home because several of their brothers and sisters were all suffering from whooping cough.

's mother having been informed that she is not sufficiently advanced to attend the L.J. central class at Newport, is no longer teaching at this school.


13 Jan 1904 - Two asked permission to go home again, E & F. MEW.

22 Feb 1904
- Four children who have previously gained certificates had them signed again, viz: H.BENNETT, Mary MEW, Maud SAUNDERS and Ella HAWKINS. Six addional ones were granted to the following: Robert OLIVER, Fred MEW, Harry COSH, Maud LONG, Ethel ARNOLD and Lily OLIVER.

28 Mar 1904 -
Sent Maud LONG home as she still seemed to be suffering from mumps and was very poorly.

17 May 1904 - Miss M.SAUNDERS, monitress, absent in the afternoon on account of a sore throat.

19 May 1904 - Miss M.SAUNDERS returned to her duties this morning.
